Getting the garden ready

Farmer Curtis getting ready to use the rented roto-tiller in our 50 foot garden area. The kids are having a picnic while watching. I'll post some photos of the garden in it's planted stage later :)

Farm Day March 2009

Rose worked at Farm Day again with her 4-H Club and shared her bunny with all the schools and kids that came and attended.

Mid Winter Break (February 2009)

Our birthday present to Curtis was to go up to Lake Tahoe for 4 days and sled and ski. Rose had her first ski lessons ever and was a champ! Unfortunately, Curtis, while sledding, injured his knee pretty badly, which resulted in being off of soccer for about 3 months, as well as physical therapy. We did have a blast!

Presentation Day (February 2009)

Rose won another gold pin for her 4-H hat for her cooking project at Presentation Day. She made an Easter Bunny Cake :)

Firefighters (February 2009)

We borrowed my dad's old fire fighter gear for a photo shoot I was doing at Rose's school. Of course the kids had to have their photos taken in grandpa's helmet and mask

Happy 40 Curtis

We threw a surprise party for about 50 adults/kids for Curtis's 40th. Even his mom, Frank, Jon and Kristin came down. There was a jumpy in the back yard for the kids, as well as several art activities being supervised by the neighbor girls.  Good friend/Soccer teammate/Chef made Curtis' cupcake cake.

To the City

Of course, Curtis is taking the photo :) Here is the crew that was in town for Xmas. We all went to the city to eat at House of Nan King
